Fundraising Event Planning

Our organization is committed to serving our target population. However, we are currently facing funding challenges. We would like to collaborate with students to plan a fundraising event to help meet our goals. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our mission, values and goals. Estimating and establishing the budget of the fundraising event. Creating a plan of action and a detailed breakdown of tasks for volunteers to complete at the event. Assisting in marketing and promoting our event. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending improvements for future fundraising events.

Digital Content Creation

We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. ABRAR Trauma and Mental Health Services is a for-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable, trauma-informed, art-based, and culturally sensitive mental support for diverse newcomers and immigrant populations. Services are carried out through professionals with lived experiences who prioritize the creation of safe and comfortable environments. Community outreach & Intake Coordinator

Goals & Objectives: 1. Outreach to the community and population we target to seek our services 2. Better understand and find ways to reach certain communities, especially those high with a high stigma around mental health and social support 3. Build a better undersadnofng of our services within the community 4. Build a strong relationship with the community and our organization 5. Come up with a report based on the outreach/intake process about best practices & recommendations in outreach to newcomers & immigrants communities about mental health
